Sri Lanka Air Force Men’s Kabaddi team emerged Champions defeating Sri Lanka Navy team at the National Kabaddi Championship held on 21st June 2016 at Sports Ministry Indoor Stadium at Torrington.

In the finals, the Navy team fought well, however failed to stop the courageous fight of airmen from making 38 points against their 23 points.

The Minister of Sports Hon. Dayasiri Jayasekara  graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. President of the Sri Lanka Kabaddi Federation Hon. Chandima Weerakkody, Chairman of Air Force Kabaddi Air Commodore Dushyantha Ratnayake, Head of tournament organizing committee of SL Kabbadi Federation Wing Commander Pradeep Fernando, Secretary Air Force Sports Council Group Captain Padman De Costa, Officers and other ranks participated at the event.
