SLAF Station Morawewa and SLAF CTS Diyatalawa emerged as the men's and women's champions respectively in the Inter Unit Shooting Championship 2016 which concluded on 02 July 2016 at the SLAF Firing Range Ampara.

SLAF Station Ampara and SLAF Academy China Bay secured the runners up in the men's and women's categories.

The Chief of Staff of the Air Force Air Vice Marshal Ranil Gurusinghe graced the occasion as the chief guest. Chairman SLAF Shooting and Director Ground Operations Air Vice Marshal Kishan Yahampath, Director Civil Engineering Air Commodore Ruchira Samarasinghe, Commanding Officer SLAF Station Ampara, Group Captain Peterson Fernando, Officers, and other ranks of the SLAF present at the occasion.
