Commander of the Air Force visited State of Israel, on an invitation of the Ministry of Defence of the State of Israel from 29th June to 03rd July 2016 to witness the traditional Graduation of the Air Force Cadet Pilot Course and Wings Parade conducted on 30th June 2016.

The Graduation Parade of Cadet Pilots was graced by the Israeli President His Excellency Reuven Rivlin, Prime Minister Hon Benjamin Netanyahu and the Defence Minister Hon Avigdor Lieberman. The Commander of the Israeli Air Force Major General Amir Eshel pinned the Flying Brevets.

This visit enhanced the longstanding defence relationship with Israel in terms of the aircraft and electronic systems utilized in the SLAF.  This visit facilitated to discuss on the much needed consultations on recovery of systems and to discuss on training/maintenance. Commander visited Israeli Air Force Bases and Bases operated by the Israeli Defence Forces and industries owned by the Ministry of Defence during this visit.
