Aircrew Water and Jungle Survival Training Programme No 07-16 Commences

The Aircrew Water and Jungle Survival Training Programme No 07-16 commences on 05 July 2016 at SLAF Station Ampara.
The aim of this exercise is to enhance the knowledge and skills of Aircrew, to survive in actual crash/ force landing/ ejection above water or over a jungle area and to give practical experience in survival. The exercise was planned to give the trainees the required theoretical and practical experience culminating in a Field Training Exercise (FTX).
Total of 21 aircrew members (14 Pilots, 02 Flight Engineers, 02 Load masters, 02 Air gunners, and 01 Air Intelligence person) and 06 Instructors are taking part in this event.
Water survival phase of the Training Programme has been completed up to now.
