The moulavi making the guest speech prayed to almighty Allah on behalf of all brave men and women of the Sri Lanka Air Force, who sacrificed their sweat, blood and flesh in the defence of Sri Lanka.  He also prayed for the war heroes who made the supreme sacrifice whilst on active service and for the well being of the families left behind by the war heroes.

Further, blessing of the leaders of the country, the three service commanders, all ranks presently serving in the Air Force and all the establishments and assets of the Air Force was also performed during the ceremony.

The Commander of the Sri Lanka Air Force Air Marshal Gagan Bulathsinghala, Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Air Force Air Vice Marshal Ranil Gurusinghe, Air Force Board of Management, Officers, a cross section of other ranks representing all Bases and Stations of the Air Force and family members of war heroes attended the ceremony
