An Annual Prith Pinkama, was held on 15 July 2016 followed by an alms giving for 17 venerable Maha Sangha on 16 July 2016 at the SLAF Academy China bay.

The ‘Reliquary’ (Karaduwa) was taken to the SLAF Academy China bay in a colourful procession and placed in the ‘Pirith Mandapaya’ by the Commandant of the Air Force Academy China bay, Air Commodore PDKT Jayasinghe. Subsequent to the all night Pirith chanting, an alms giving was accorded to the venerable Maha Sangha on Saturday morning.

Officers, other ranks, civilian staff and families participated for the all night pirith chanting ceremony and the alms-giving.
