Inter Unit Netball Championship 2016
Sri Lanka Air Force Station Colombo won the Inter Unit Netball Championship 2016 beating SLAF Base Katunayaka by 24-12 in the finals concluded at Rifle Green Grounds SLAF Station Colombo today(29 July 16).
AC Pabasara of SLAF Base Katunayaka was adjudged the best Shooter while LAC Rathnayaka, Sgt Zoysa of SLAF Station Cbo, were selected as Best Centre Court Player and Best Defender respectively.
LAC Perera of SLAF Station Cbo was crowned The Netball Queen of the Inter Unit Netball Championship 2016.
The Chairperson of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Samanthi Bulathsinghala, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and gave away the main awards. Director Training Air Vice Marshal Vijitha Gunaratne, Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Colombo Air Commodore Prasanna Payoe, Officers, Airmen and Air Women representing the Academy, Bases and stations witnessed the event.
