The No. 52 Junior Command and Staff Course commenced on 15th August 2016 at the Junior Command and Staff College, Sri Lanka Air Force Academy, China Bay. The Opening Address was conducted by the Commandant, Air Commodore PDKT Jayasinghe and the Commanding Officer, Group Captain AJ Amerasinghe.

A total of 24 Sri Lanka Air Force Officers in the rank of Squadron Leader and Flight Lieutenant, 02 Officers from Sri Lanka Army in the rank of Captain, 01 Officer from the Sri Lanka Navy in the rank of Lieutenant Commander, 01 Squadron Leader from Bangladesh Air Force and 01 Captain from Maldives National Defence Force are following the staff course for a duration of 15 weeks(15 August 2016 to 26 November 2016).
