An Annual Pirith Pinkama, was held on 26 August 2016 followed by an Alms giving for 24 Venerable Maha Sanga on 27 August 2016 at the SLAF Station Batticaloa.

The ‘Reliquary’ (Karaduwa) was taken to SLAF Station Batticaloa in a colourful procession and placed in the “Pirith Mandapaya” by Commanding Officer of the SLAF Station Batticaloa, Wing Commander VGGB Piyasiri. Subsequent to the all night Pirith chanting, an alms giving was accorded to the Venerable Maha Sanga on 27th Saturday.

Officers, Other ranks and Civilian Staff and their families participated at the all night Pirith Chanting Ceremony and at the Alms Giving.
