The Inter Unit Judo Championship was held at Indoor Stadium of the SLAF Base Katunayake  today (31 August 2016).

Over 200 Judokas took part in the championship where the men’s overall championship was bagged by the SLAF Base Katunayake Regiment Wing and SLAF Academy China Bay emerged as the women’s overall champions.

SLAF Base Anuradhapura , SLAF Station Colombo and SLAF TTS Ekala became the Joint runners up in the men's category and SLAF  TTS Ekala became the women's runner up at the championship.

The Chief of Staff of the SLAF  Air Vice Marshal Ranil Gurusinghe graced the occasion as Chief Guest. Members of the Air Force Board of Management, the Chairman SLAF Judo Air Vice Marshal KFR Fernando, Officers and other ranks also witnessed the event.
