The Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Kapila Jayampathy, paid homage to the Sacred Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi, Anuradhapura on 29 September 2016 seeking blessings on his new appointment.

The Commander also worshiped Ruwanweli Seya and called on the Chief Incumbent of Ruwanweli Maha Seya Ven. Pallegama Hemarathana Nayaka Thero.

Air Marshal Jayampathy was accompanied by his family members and several SLAF personnel.
