Sri Lanka Air Force Station Colombo won the Championship whilst SLAF Station Vanni became runner up at the Inter Unit Badminton Championship 2016 which was concluded on 29th Sep 2016. The Championship was held at the Indoor Stadium of the SLAF Health Management Centre (HMC) Thummulla from 26th to 29th Sep 2016 a large number of participants representing all SLAF establishments.

Squadron Leader BHKK Senevirathne of SLAF Station Colombo won the Men’s Open Championship.

Director Air Operations of SLAF Air Vice Marshal DLS Dias graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Members from the Air Force Board of Management, Chairman SLAF Badminton Air Commodore R Senanayeka, senior officers and Other Ranks were also present at the finals.
