SLAF Conducts Fire Drill at Lanka Hospitals

Sri Lanka Air Force Fire Fighters carried out a Fire Evacuation drill at Lanka Hospitals today (30 September 2016). During the demonstration the SLAF firemen demonstrated several rescue tactics such as Aerial rope rescue and operating and using of ‘Jumping Sheet’ which was placed on the ground.
 
37 SLAF personnel participated in the Fire Evacuation Drill.  Squadron Leader Hettiarachchi guided the SLAF fire fighters to perform the evacuation drill smoothly.

The Chief Fire Officer of the SLAF Group Captain Chinthaka Dias was also present at the demonstration.

 

Sri Lanka Air Force stands as the sole gallant aerial force in the nation, skillfully projecting airpower over its airspace and supporting the operations of surface entities.
