The Certificate Awarding Ceremony of the No. 67th NCOs’ Management Course
The certificate awarding ceremony of No. 67th Non Commissioned Officers’ Management Course was held at Astra Multifunctional Hall of the Sri Lanka Air Force Academy China Bay on 30 September 2016. Command Recruiting Officer, Air Commodore DJC Weerakoon graced the ceremony as the Chief Guest and the Commandant of the Sri Lanka Air Force Academy China Bay Air Cdre PDKT Jayasinghe also witnessed the event.
The primary objective of conducting this course is to imparting a sound academic and managerial knowledgebase to Non Commissioned Officers of the SLAF while sharpening their leadership qualities. The course runs through a well-formed Syllabus over a scheduled period of 11 weeks. The comprehensive course is affiliated to the University of Rajarata and all Non Commissioned Officers who fulfil the required criteria are awarded a certificate in Management.
The No. 67th batch comprised 38 Senior Non Commissioned Officers of SLAF, 42 Junior Non Commissioned Officers of SLAF and 02 Senior Non Commissioned Officers of SL Army. Certificates were awarded to 82 Non Commissioned Officers to acknowledge the successful completion of the course.
19162 F/Sgt Ravi Dananja HP USP (Aero E&I) was placed as the best all-round Senior Non Commissioned Officer while 30318 Cpl Samarakoon SHMSL (Ops Air) was placed as the best all-round Junior Non Commissioned Officer. Other special award winners are as follows.
