The Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Kapila Jayampathy, conducted the AOCs inspection at SLAF Station Weerawila today (07 October 2016). The Commander, upon arrival for the inspection, was received by the Commanding Officer Wing Commander ADM Koralage and accorded a guard of honour.

The Commander awarded Commendations to Mr PG Ajith Priyantha (Labourer) in recognition of his outstanding meritorious services towards the activities of the Station.

During the course of the inspection, the Commander visited all areas and declared open the newly constructed Airwomen's Billet and the Guard Room.  Concluding the inspection, the Commander addressed all ranks including the civilian staff and commended their hard work to uplift the standards of the Station and highlighted the requirement to contribute their best to the Air Force as well as to the motherland at all times.
