Flight Safety Workshop for Non Commissioned Officers of the SLAF Concludes

The 4th flight safety workshop with the participation of 50 Non Commissioned Officers was successfully completed on 7th October 2016 at the NCO Management School, Sri Lanka Air Force Academy Chinabay. This was the the second and final workshop for NCOs for the year 2016.
The flight safety workshop was organized by Command Flight Safety Inspectorate of the SLAF to inculcate safety awareness among the tradesmen who are directly involved with Air Operations of the SLAF. The newest addition was the participation of helitours cabin crew and SLAF nurses. Resource persons from the SLAF shared a wealth of knowledge with the participants during the workshop.
A total of 65 officers and 101 NCOs had completed the flight safety workshops conducted by CFSI for this year making it the highest number of participants for a year.
The Opening Address was conducted by the Course coordinator Wg Cdr SSB Marambe. SLAF Academy Commandant Air Cdre PDKT Jayasinghe graced the occasion and addressed the participants after the awarding of certificates on the final day.
