Observance of National Quality Week and the World’s Standards Day 2016
Under the auspices of Sri Lanka standards institution, the National Quality Week (NQW) is being observed in commercial, industries, service organizations and consumers throughout the Island from 10 Oct 2016 to 16 Oct 2016
With the theme of “Standards Build Trust”, SLAF establishments joined with Command Quality Assurance Inspectorate (CQAI) to commemorate the World Standards Day (WSD) which falls on 14th October 2016.
Hoisting of Quality flags (Q flag) and conducting of awareness programmes to SLAF personnel on the topics of “Standardization” and “Basic Quality concepts ” was the main activities done by all Bases of SLAF establishments.
With the intention of sharing the knowledge on Quality and to aware the civil society with regard to National Quality Week and Worlds Standards Day , Cooperate Social Responsibility (CSR) programmes were conducted by the quality cells of SLAF Academy Cby, SLAF Base Rma, SLAF Base H’goda, SLAF Base Kat SLAF Base Vna, SLAF Base Anu to Nalanda Centarl College Trincomalee, Attidiya primary Model College Attidiya Rathmalana, Rajarata Vidyalaya Higurakgoda, St.Sebasthiyan College Nigambo, Jathika Pasala Madukanda Vauniya and Divisional Secretariat Ipalogama, respectively.
