Commander's Annual Inspection at SLAF Station Colombo

Having concluded the inspection at Air Force Headquarters yesterday (10 November 2016), the Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal Kapila Jayampathy started the Annual Commander’s Inspection at SLAF Station Colombo today (11 November 2016).
The Commander was welcomed by the Commanding Officer SLAF Station Colombo, Air Commodore Prasanna Payoe. A Street Lining was accorded the Commander at Station premises.
Commander visited all the areas of the station and after concluding the inspection took a seat at the Airmen mess with a cross section of Officers, Airmen, Airwomen and Civilian staff for the customary all ranks lunch. This was followed by the Commander's address in which he appreciated the commendable work of personnel at AFHQ and Station Cbo in maintaining the high standards. He stated that he has given instructions to the Commanding Officer to make a number of qualitative improvements to address difficulties faced by those posted to the Unit, including making suitable arrangements to provide all staff with an affordable meal at the Unit, and ensuring that those who avail of the services of the Day Care centre are able to do so free of charge.
After concluding the inspection and speech at the station the commander departed to the Health Management Centre Thummulla and AFHQ Officers Mess Thummulla.
