The National Carrom Team arrived in Sri Lanka on 14 November 2016 after successfully taking part in the Carrom World Championship held in the United Kingdom.

VAW/02168 AC Liyanage CL and VAW/02157 AC Rahubaddha RKY who represented the Sri Lanka National Carrom Women’s Team emerged Runners Up in the Team Event. They also emerged 3rd and 4th in Women’s Doubles respectively.

VAW/02168 AC Liyanage CL secured world ranking No.4 while VAW/02157 AC Rahubaddha RKY emerged world ranking No.6.

The Chairman and the Secretary SLAF Carrom received the players at the Bandaranaike International Airport on their arrival.
