New Commanding Officer for SLAF Palaly

Group Captain Nishen Abeysinghe handed over the Command of Sri Lanka Air Force Station Palaly to Group Captain Athula Kaluarachchi today (20 April 2010).

Group Captain Nishen Abeysinghe served as the Commanding officer of this strategically important Air Force Station from 15thJanuary 2009 and had initiated many projects to enhance the efficiency of the station and the living standards of personnel  serving there, during his tenure.

Group Captain Athula Kaluarachchi relinquished the command of No 28 Regiment Wing at SLAF Station Colombo to take over Command of the SLAF's Northern most Station.


The traditional "handing over taking over" parade was commanded by Squadron Leader KNP Perera whilst Flying Officer RPTD Rathnaweera was the Parade Adjutant. Flight Lieutenant SMS Sampath Sri, Flight Lieutenant DLNG Benthararchchi and Flying Officer AC Wijesinghe commanded the three Flights of the parade.
