The 38th Anniversary of SLAF Base Hingurakgoda was celebrated on 23rd November 2016. To commemorate the event, recreational activities were organized under the guidance of the Base Commander Group Captain RS Wickremeratne together with all Officers, other ranks and the Civilian Staff.

The Anniversary commenced with the morning parade reviewed by the Acting Base Commander  on 22nd Nov and was followed by a Soft Ball Cricket tournament on 23rd Nov. The celebration was concluded with an all ranks lunch.
