Sri Lanka Air Force TTS Ekala became men's champions while Sri Lanka Air Force Base Katunayake became women's champions in the Inter Unit Elle Championships 2016 at the Hospital Ground, SLAF Base Katunayake on 28 November 2016.

SLAF S&MD Katunayake men's team and SLAF TTS Ekala, SLAF BIA Katunayake (women's combined team) became runners up at the tournament.

Director General Engineering Air Commodore MD Ratnayake graced the occasion as the chief guest. Chairman SLAF Elle Air Commodore RHKP Ranasinghe, Officers, other ranks were also present at the occasion.
