SLAF Women’s Wrestling team became Champions winning 07 Gold, 02 Silver and 02 Bronze medals at the National Wrestling Championship 2016 conducted at the Sports Ministry Gymnasium Colombo from 30th November to 03 December 2016 organized by the Sri Lanka Wrestling Federation.

VAW/02019 Karunasena HAN was adjudged as the Best Woman Wrestler in the tournament.
