Regiment Wing at SLAF Base Katunayake  and SLAF Trade Training School Ekala emerged  Men’s and Women’s champions at the Inter Unit Wushu Championship 2016 concluded on 09 December 2016 at the AFHMC, Thummulla.

SLAF TTS Ekala became Men's runners up and SLAF Base Ratmalana became women's runner up at the Championship.

Director Training of SLAF Air Vice Marshal  AM De Zoysa graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Executive Director National Wushu Federation of Sri Lanka Mr. Manel Dharmakeerthi, members of the Board of Management, Chairman SLAF Wushu Air Commodore Janaka Karunarathana, Officers and other ranks were present at the occasion.
