National Taekwondo Championship 2016

The SLAF Taekwondo Team participated in the National Taekwondo Championship 2016 at Sports Ministry Gymnasium, Torrington on 12 & 13 Dec 16 and the finals on 27 Dec 16 at Sugathadasa Indoor stadium, Colombo.
The SLAF team won the National Taekwondo Championship 2016 for the first time in history by securing both Men’s and woman’s Championships with 07 Gold, 03 Silver and 03 Bronze medals.
Speaker of the parliament, Hon Karu Jayasooriya graced the ceremony as the chief guest. Chairman Taekwondo, Air Commodore MRK Samarasinghe, Secretary Squadron Leader KHDP Kasagala, officers and other ranks witnessed the event.
