Gifts for Students Who Performed Well at the Grade 5 Examination 2016

In keeping with a concept of recognizing academic achievements of children of SLAF personnel and civilians employed in the SLAF, the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit organized a programme to felicitate the students who performed extremely well at the Grade 5 Scholarship examination during the year 2016. The programme was held today (20th January 17) at the AFHQ Auditorium under the patronage of the Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal Kapila Jayampathy.
Eighty-Two (82) students who obtained high marks between 190 to 170 at Grade 5 examination were selected and each individual was provided with a financial grant by the Seva Vanitha Unit (SVU) of the Sri Lanka Air Force.
The Commander of the Air Force and Chairperson of the SLAF SVU of the Sri Lanka Air Force Mrs. Anoma Jayampathy congratulated and expressed their best wishes to students who succeeded in the examination during the ceremony.
The Chief Of Staff Air Vice Marshal DLS Dias, Board of Management of the SLAF, members of the SVU, Officers and Parents of the children were also present on the occasion.
