National Hockey Selection team led by Airman Perera is scheduled to fly to Bangladesh to participate in the 08 Nation Championship from 07th to 14th of May 2010.

This team also consists of 07 other Sri Lanka Air Force hockey players.

 The other teams in this championship are Bangladesh, Chinese Taipei, Oman, Singapore, Hong Kong, Macao and Thailand. The winners of this tournament will book a birth in the Asian championship to be held in China from 14th to 27 November 2010. 

Prior to proceeding to Bangladesh this team will play a few practice matches in India from 29th April to 05th May 2010.
