The SLAF Karate Pool participated in the 2^nd SFKF Open Karate Championship Sri Lanka Friends Cup 2017 which was held on 04 Mar 2017 at Elbert Peiris Indoor Stadium.

The SLAF Karatekas performed exceptionally well at the tournament, securing the overall championship for both men and women. The SLAF also won 19 Gold, 08 Silver & 01 Bronze Medals.
