Pre-School opens at SLAF Morawewa

A new Pre-school named "Apeksha"  was declared open by the Chairperson of the Seva Vanitha Unit of  the Ministry of Defence, Mrs. Ayoma Rajapaksha this morning (03 March 2010) at SLAF Morawawa 10th mile post.

Chairperson of the Sri Lanka Air Force Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Nelun Goonetileke accompanied the chief guest on a tour of the newly built pre-school. The Pre-school was constructed under the patronage of Group Commander of SLAF Morawawa, Group Captain Leonard Rodrigo. This project was carried out under the direction of Chairperson SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit.

The Seva Vanitha Unit has taken the initiative under the guidance of its Chairperson to establish pre-schools of high educational standards within SLAF Bases, Stations & units and in their proximity. Incidentally "Apeksha" is the 10th successive pre- school to be established by the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit. In addition School books and other academic material was distributed amongst Children of the area.
