Annual Commander's Inspection of Sri Lanka Air Force Special Operations Groups at Peraru And Trincomalee

The Commander of the Air Force Air Chief Marshal Roshan Goonetileke carried out his traditional annual Inspection of SLAF Special Operations Groups Peraru and Trincomalee on 05th May 2010.
At Peraru, the Group Commander Group Captain Leonard Rodrigo received the Commander on his arrival and a Guard of Honour commanded by Flight Lieutenant Lasantha was accorded to him.
Special Operation group Peraru is tasked to secure and re-establish infrastructure and normalcy for civillian life in the area between Welverikulam and Morawewa junction on the Anuradhapura and Trincomalee main supply route.
The Regiment Special Force Wing is also situated on the same premises.
