The Visit of Bangladesh Air Force Hockey Team to Sri Lanka

A 19 - member Hockey team from the Bangladesh Air Force arrived in Sri Lanka on 14 May 2017 under the inaugural BAF-SLAF Sport Exchange Programme.
The team, headed by Squadron Leader MM Kamal, was cordially welcomed at the Bandaranaike International Airport by the officials of Sri Lanka Air Force Hockey.
Their first engagement with the Sri Lanka Air Force Hockey team took place at the Astro Turf, Colombo 7 on 15 May 2017. SLAF team won against BAF (1-0).
The teams will meet again for the second match at the same venue on 18 May 2017.
This is the first time that a Bangladesh team is visiting Sri Lanka for a Hockey tournament of this nature. The visit is a testament to the cordial relations between the BAF and the SLAF and also of the warm relations between the two nations.
