Awarding of Load Master and Air Gunner Badges
A total of 15 SLAF members including one Officer received their Load Master and Air Gunner badges from the Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal Kapila Jayampathy on 22 May 2017.
1 officer and 3 Airmen of the 17th Basic Air Load Master Course pinned on their Load master badges after successfully completing the ground Training and basic Load Masters’ Flying Training in AN -32 and MI-17 Aircraft at SLAF Base Ratmalana. 11 Airmen of the 13th Air Gunner Course conducted at SLAF Base Hingurakgoda and who completed the basic Air Gunner's Training in MI 17 and Bell 212 aircraft received their Air Gunner badges.
The Director Air Operations Air Vice Marshal SK Pathirana, Director Grounds Operations Air Vice Marshal KFR Fernando and Officers also attended the ceremony.
