Drill Instructors Pass Out In a Spectacular Night Passing Out Parade
7:00pm on Tuesday 11th May 2010
Thirty Drill Instructors from the 26 th Drill Instructors Training Course passed out on the 04th May 2010 from Sri Lanka Air Force Station Diyatalawa after completing five months of intensive training.
The highlight of the course was the fact that six Officer Cadets also followed the course with twenty four airmen.
The passing out parade was a special spectacle as, for the first time in the SLAF history the parade was held under flood lights in the night.
Officer Cadet Ranhettige was judged as the Best All Round Drill Instructor of the course whilst Corporal Thilakaratna was adjudged the Best Drill Instructor.
Commanding Officer Sri Lanka Air Force Station, Air Commodore Lal Perera graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and Officer Commanding Training, Wing Commander A N Wijesiriwardana was also present.
