The SLAF Netball Team emerged A Division Champions at the Eva All-Island Open Netball Tournament organized by the Western Province Netball Association. SLAF beat SL Navy 45 – 36 at the finals.

The tournament was held at the Rifle Green Grounds, Sri Lanka Air Force Station Colombo, on 01 and 02 July 2017.

VAW/01580 Sgt Waththegedara was adjudged the Most Valuable Player of the tournament while VAW/01301 Cpl Nilushika  became the Netball Queen.
