Awards Ceremony of 70th Non Commissioned Officers’ Management Course was held on 07 July 2017 under the Patronage of Command Provost Marshal Air Commodore MWTI De Silva.
   
The primary objective of conducting this course is to impart a sound academic and managerial knowledge while sharpening leadership qualities within the Non Commissioned Officers of the Tri-Forces. The course ran through a well-formed Syllabus over a scheduled period of 11 weeks. The comprehensive course is affiliated to the University of Rajarata and all Non  Commissioned Officers who fulfilled the required criteria were awarded with a certificate in Management. The 70th Batch comprised of 32 Senior and 49 Junior Non Commissioned Officers of the SLAF, 02 Senior Non Commissioned Officers of the SL Army and 02 Senior Non Commissioned Officers of the SL Navy. At the Ceremony 85 awardees received certificates to mark the successful completion of the course.

19364 F/Sgt Samarakoon HMIB ( Aero Eng) was named as the Best All- Round Senior Non Commissioned Officer, while AW/2835 Cpl Herath RHMAS (Police II) was adjudged the Best All-Round Junior Non Commissioned Officer. Other special award winners are as follows.
