SLAF men's and women's Hockey teams won both championships in the Vidyaloka Maroons Sevens All Island seven-a-side-Hockey  tournament 2017 held at BOI grounds, Koggala on 08th & 09th July 2017 which was organized by Vidyaloka College,Galle.

In the men's finals SLAF beat SL Army by 02-01 and in the women's finals SLAF beat SL Navy by 04-02.

Old boy of Vidyaloka College, Galle, Major General Renuka Rowel graced the awards ceremony as the chief guest.
