The 6th anniversary of the SLAF Station Mullaitivu was celebrated on 03 August 2017. To commemorate this event, a blood donation campaign was held on 25 July 2017 at Station MI Room with participation of voluntary blood donors.

A Shramadana campaign was carried out at District General Hospital Mullaitivu. The formation day celebrations began with a parade which was reviewed by the Commanding Officer Wing Commander GSN Priyadarshana. A cricket tournament and all ranks lunch were carried out with the participation of Officers, airmen and civilian staff of the Station.
