The outgoing Chief of Defence Staff General Crisanthe De Silva paid a farewell call on the Commander of the Sri Lanka Air Force, Air Marshal Kapila Jayampathy, at the Air Force Headquarters yesterday morning (17 August 2017) to mark his official retirement.

A Guard of Honour was conferred by the Colour Wing of SLAF. After the inspection of the parade, the outgoing CDS was received by the Commanding Officer of SLAF Colombo, Air Commodore Waruna Gunawardane and Officers of SLAF Headquarters .

Official plaques were exchanged between the Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Air Force at the Commander’s Office. Thereafter, the outgoing Chief of Defence Staff General Crisanthe De Silva met with the Chief of Staff and the Board of Management of SLAF.
