Newly appointed Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General NUMMW Senanayake called on the Commander of Air force, Air Marshal Kapila Jayampathy this morning (21 August 2017).

A Guard of Honour was conferred by the Colour Wing of SLAF. After the inspection of the parade, the new Army Commander was received by the Commanding Officer of SLAF Colombo, Air Commodore Waruna Gunawardane and Officers of SLAF Headquarters .

Official plaques were exchanged between the two commanders at the Commander’s Office after which Army Commander met with the Deputy Chief of Staff, and the Board of Management of SLAF.
