Air Force Scholarship Programme and Gifts for Students who Performed Well at the G.C.E O/L and G.C.E A/L Examination 2016
Under the Patronage of the Seva Vanitha Unit of the SLAF the Air Force Scholarship Awards Ceremony was held on 23 August 2017 at AFHQ Auditorium under the patronage of Chairperson of the SLAF SVU Mrs. Anoma Jayampathy for the 08th successive year.
The scholarship scheme is intended to support selected students from Grade 5 up to the G.C.E. A/L examination. A total of 51 children of war heroes, service personnel and civilian personnel of the SLAF received scholarships at this ceremony. In addition to that, a scholarship was awarded to the children of the service personnel and civil personal of the Air Force, who excelled during G.C.E O/L and G.C.E. A/L examinations for year 2016 at the ceremony.
Six (06) students who obtained three “A” s in G.C.E. A/L and eleven (11) students who obtained nine “A” s in G.C.E. O/L examination were selected and each individual was provided with a financial grant by the Seva Vanitha Unit of the Sri Lanka Air Force.
The Chairperson of Sri Lanka Air Force Seva Vanitha Unit Mrs. Anoma Jayampathy congratulated and expressed her best wishes to students who succeeded in the examination during the ceremony.
