With the view of facilitating numerous requests made by servicemen, the Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal Kapila Jayampathy authorized to purchase a power wheel chair for the son of 20193 F/Sgt Perera EWNP as a distress relief.

A donation ceremony was held on 23 August 2017 at the Seva Vanitha Unit, AFHQ Colombo under the patronage of the Chairperson of SLAF SVU Mrs. Anoma Jayampathy.
