Ex-servicemens’ Holiday Home Declared Open at Wedasiti Kanda

Commander of the Sri Lanka Air Force Air Marshal Kapila Jayampathy declared open the newly constructed Ex-servicemens’ (Other Ranks)  Holiday home complex at Wedasiti Kanda, Katharagama today (31 August 2017). This holiday home complex has been constructed under the concept of the Commander of the Air Force. It comprises three luxury rooms with a common dining area and television facilities.


The project was completed within a very short period by Air Field Construction Wing at SLAF Base Ratmalana under the supervision of Directorate of Civil Engineering. The facility consists of three fully furnished separate luxury rooms with attached bathrooms, verandas and sitting areas. Further a fully equipped kitchen with cooking apparatus is also available at this holiday home complex.

Director Logistics Air Vice Marshal HMSKB Kotakadeniya, Director Civil Engineering Air Commodore MRK Samarasinghe, Commanding Officer SLAF Station Weeerawila Group Captain DRAB Warakanga, Ex-servicemen, Officers and other ranks were also present at the ceremony.
