Inter Unit Badminton Championship 2017
SLAF Academy China Bay and SLAF Base Katunayake emerged men's & women's Champions in the Inter Unit Badminton Championship 2017 which was concluded on 29th September 2017. The Championship was held at the Indoor Stadium of the SLAF Base Katunayake from 26th to 29th September 2017 with large number of participants representing all SLAF establishments.
SLAF Combat Training School (CTS) Diyatalawa and SLAF Regiment Training School (RTS) Vanni became men's and women's runner up at the championship.
Flying Officer DMIM Jayatilleke of SLAF Academy China Bay and Flying Officer GH Chiranga of SLAF Base Katunayake won the Men’s and Women's Open Championships respectively.
Director Training of SLAF Air Vice Marshal PDKT Jayasinghe graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Members from the Air Force Board of Management, Chairman SLAF Badminton Air Commodore R Senanayeka, senior officers and Other Ranks were also present at the finals.
