Sri Lanka Air Force is All Set to Launch 'Colombo Air Symposium 2017'

The 'Colombo Air Symposium 2017', the prominent Air Force conference of the experts is all set to be launched at the Eagles’ Lakeside Banquet and Convention Hall, Attidiya, tomorrow, Thursday the 12th of October under the theme 'Air Power in Addressing Asymmetric Threats'. The two day international conference will conclude on13th October.
The State Minister of Defence, Hon. Ruwan Wijeyawardane will grace the occasion as the chief guest and Secretary to the Ministry of Defence Mr. Kapila Waidyaratne will deliver the Keynote Address. The Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal Kapila Jayampathy will deliver the opening remarks providing an opening to the theme of Asymmetric Threats.
This year, 250 invitees including 24 international participants from 17 countries will take part in the event. The shifting paradigms of modern security threats will be the focus of the forum and the main theme "Addressing Asymmetric Threats" will be profoundly examined through 12 research papers under six sessions namely;
