Categorization of SLAF Fighter Controllers Completed

The SLAF Fighter Controllers’ Categorization board conducted by the Indian Air Force Examiners was successfully completed on 20th October 2017 at the No 01 Air Defence Radar Squadron, Sri Lanka Air Force Base Katunayake.
During the programme, the Fighter Controllers went through a series of lectures, discussions and practical sessions under the guidance and supervision of the IAF team. During the evaluation process, the SLAF Fighter controllers underwent written, practical, and viva-voce tests. A total of 04 Officers were upgraded to Category ‘BEE’ while another Officers’ current Category ‘BEE’ was revalidated.
The Categorization programme and closing address was held at the No 01 ADRS and the Practice Interceptions were carried out at No 05 ADRS SLAF Plv under the guidance of ADC & CC SLAF Mirigama.
