The initial membership badge investiture ceremony of the Air Scout Troop at SLAF Station Mirigama was held on 21 October 2017, for 99 newly enlisted Junior Air Scouts, with the participation of their parents.

Commanding Officer SLAF Station Mirigama Wing Commander LP Dahanayake attended as the Chief Guest to grace the occasion.

Chief Group Scout Master of Air Scouts, Wing Commander JAPS Jayawardena and Scout Masters of the Sri Lanka Scout Association (Gampaha District), all Officers also attended the Scout Membership Badge Investiture Ceremony.
