A Religious Ceremony at the Temple of the Sacred Tooth

A Religious Ceremony and Almsgiving were held at the Temple of the Sacred Tooth this morning (23 October 2017) with the participation of the Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal Kapila Jayampathy to commemorate fallen war heroes of the Sri Lanka Air Force. This was organized by the Directorate of Welfare of the Sri Lanka Air Force for the 7th consecutive year.
Religious blessings were invoked on the leaders of the country, the three service commanders and all ranks presently serving in the Air Force, fallen heroes who made the supreme sacrifice in defence of our motherland and the families left behind by those fallen colleagues.
The Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal Kapila Jayampathy, Chairperson SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs.Anoma Jayampathy, Air Force Board of Management, Officers and a cross section of other ranks representing all Bases and stations as well as various trades of the Air Force were also present.
