A Press Conference to announce the upcoming 11th World Military Golf Championship 2017 organized by the Tri-forces of Sri Lanka was held on 02 November 2017 at the Media Centre for Ministry of Defence.

The 11th World Military Golf Championship 2017 will be held on Eagles’ Golf Links –China Bay, Sri Lanka, from 12-19 November, 2017.

Sri Lanka participated at the 10th World Military Golf Championship conducted in the Netherlands in 2016. Sri Lanka is hosting this year’s championship, which is a historical event for Sri Lanka Defence Staff, since this is the first time that Sri Lanka is hosting a World Military Championship.

Director Air Operations of SLAF Air Vice Marshal SK Pathirana,Director Media/Military Spokesman for the Ministry of Defence Major General AWMP Roshan Seneviratne, Secretary Air Force Sport Council Group Captain PN De Costa, Director General Sports of Sri Lanka Army Brigadier WAVA Sudasinghe, Director Sports of Sri Lanka Navy Captain RAPP Rathnayaka, Secretary Golf Sri Lanka Navy, Captain SJ Kumara and journalists from the electronic and print media were also present at the occasion.
