The celebrations commenced with a Working Parade which was reviewed by the Commanding Officer Group Captain KGDN Jayasinghe. Subsequently a soft ball cricket tournament and all ranks lunch was arranged and these events were attended by many representatives from other formations of the Base.

A CSR programme was carried out at the Yashodara Devi Children (Girls) Orphanage at Attidiya from 31st October 2017 to 01st November 2017. This was a noteworthy program which focused beyond the normal needs of inmate children. In the effort, six toilets were renovated to a usable condition, garbage which was collected over many years were collected and removed, septic tanks were emptied, and the walls and the ceilings were painted using manpower of the AFM.
