Sri Lanka Air Force Tech Formation Katunayake and Sri Lanka Air Force Station Colombo emerged men’s and women’s Champions at the Inter Unit Basketball Championship 2017 at the Indoor Basketball court of the SLAF Health Management Centre (HMC), Tummulla on 27 November 2017.

Sri Lanka Air Force Combat Training School Diyatalawa emerged the runners up in the men's and women's categories.

The Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal Kapila Jayampathy graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Chief of Staff of the SLAF Air Vice Marshal Sumangala Dias, Members of the Air Force Board of Management, Chairman SLAF Basketball, Air Vice Marshal PDKT Jayasinghe, senior officers, officers and other ranks were also present at the event.
